Vincent, the badger with only one ear
The eight-week-old cub – named after Vincent van Gogh, who cut part of his own ear off – is being cared for at St Tiggywinkles Wildlife hospital in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
He was taken by a vet after being found in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, and is expected to make a good recovery. (Metro UK)

140 characters. A fragment of an idea or of a belief or of a person. Maybe our culture has grown too used to the idea of having things instantly, that this brief little taste of other minds is all we will allow ourselves to have. Does the Twitter-verse care about intelligent discourse anymore? Is this kind of conversation disappearing because we don’t allow ourselves the time to get into the meat and bones and blood of an idea? Am I so needing of instant gratification that I don’t want to know anything about you that doesn’t fit into that 140-character packet?
I have accounts on Twitter and Facebook. Somewhere along the way I had a LiveJournal. I have this tumblr and a few scattered blogs here and there. If I post anything, it’s something I want to share with others— a good cause, a brilliant image, something that makes one think. I try to stay away from too many mundane things, but sadly I probably fail at that. Human after all.
